Cleaning and maintenance
The board is delivered untreated and must be surface treated (e.g. with oil or varnish) to protect it against dirt, sunlight and wear. This is quick and easy – and significantly extends the life of the worktop.
Daily cleaning is simple with a cloth and warm water. Please note that soap-based cleaning products gradually remove the oil from the wood and dry out the surface. It is therefore a good idea to maintain the worktop with oil 2–4 times a year.
Solid wood can be sanded and refreshed again and again. Small scratches or dents? Easy to remove – a light sanding and some oil, and the top looks like new. This makes solid wood worktops a smart choice in rooms where life and work happen side by side.
