Carbonised bamboo is a hard and durable material with high density and excellent dimensional stability. It consists of compressed bamboo strips that, through heat treatment, gain a deeper caramel-brown colour with warm tones. The structure has the same clean lines as natural bamboo, but with a more pronounced colour variation that gives a darker overall impression. Over time, the tone becomes even deeper and more uniform. Bamboo is a fast-growing grass that can be harvested after only a few years. As the plant produces new shoots from the root without replanting, it is a climate-friendly, renewable resource that can be used again and again.

Cleaning and maintenance
The wood panel should be surface-treated upon delivery (e.g. with oil or varnish) to protect it against dirt, sunlight and wear. It’s a quick job and significantly extends the panel’s lifespan.
Cleaning is simple with a cloth and warm water. Please note that soap-based cleaning products gradually remove the oil in the wood and dry out the panel. That’s why it’s a good idea to maintain the solid bamboo panel regularly with oil if the surface is frequently used and cleaned.
Solid wood can be sanded and refreshed again and again. Small dents and scratches? No problem – a light sanding and a bit of oil, and the panel looks like new.
