Cleaning and maintenance
The bamboo board is delivered untreated and must be surface treated (e.g. with oil or varnish) to protect it against dirt, sunlight and wear. This is quick to do – and significantly extends the life of the worktop.
Daily cleaning is easy with a cloth and warm water. Please note that soap-based cleaning products gradually remove the oil in the wood and dry out the worktop. It is therefore a good idea to maintain the worktop regularly with oil 2–4 times a year.
Solid wood can be sanded and refreshed again and again. Small damages and scratches? Gone in no time – a light sanding and a little oil, and the board looks as good as new. This makes solid wood worktops a smart choice in rooms where people live and work.
