Acoustic panels with grey oak-look slats and black felt backing

Sound-absorbing ceiling or wall cladding – documented testing at the Danish Technological Institute

Perfect for DIY projects

The product is made from FSC-certified and other controlled materials
Acoustic panels have many uses, but their main purpose is to reduce noise and improve sound insulation. HM-wood-shop acoustic panels are available in several wood types, different oil finishes and with various felt colours beneath the wooden slats, allowing for a wide range of design expressions. Acoustic panels can be used for both wall and ceiling cladding and can advantageously be divided into zones. In addition to reducing noise levels and improving acoustics, wooden slats are an elegant and highly modern interior element that creates a cosy and warm atmosphere.
Danish-produced acoustic panels with documented sound testing
When choosing acoustic panels, the quality of the materials is crucial for the effect.
Our ECON acoustic panels are produced in Scandinavia and tested at the Danish Technological Institute for sound absorption, indoor climate and formaldehyde.
The panels are tested according to the DS/EN ISO 354 standard, documenting their sound-absorbing properties.
This gives you confidence that the panels effectively reduce noise and reverberation.
FSC-certified wood and real wood veneer
The slats are made with real wood veneer in oak or walnut, mounted on a stable core of MDF or plywood.
The wood is FSC-certified, meaning responsible forestry and sustainable production.
This provides a natural and vibrant look, where each panel has its own unique character.
HM-wood-shop acoustic panels are produced on 8 mm felt. On top of the 8 mm sound-absorbing felt backing, veneered MDF slats are mounted. Each slat consists of real wood veneer bonded to a core of dark MDF.
The slats are approx. 0.9 cm deep and 2.7 cm wide, with a spacing of 1.3 cm between each slat.
Installation instructions can be found under the information tab.
The panels are easy to cut to size yourself. Simply use standard woodworking tools. A fine-toothed saw provides the best result.
What can you expect in practice?
Acoustic panels are especially effective in rooms with hard surfaces (plasterboard, concrete, glass, wooden floors). You will experience less reverberation and a calmer sound environment – perfect for open-plan living/kitchen areas, home offices and hallways.

Why many choose wooden acoustic panels
Acoustic panels typically consist of wooden slats mounted on a sound-absorbing felt backing. This combination breaks sound waves and reduces reverberation in the room.
The result is:

less noise

improved speech clarity

a more comfortable acoustic environment
Therefore, acoustic panels are often used in:

living rooms

kitchens

offices

meeting rooms

restaurants

bedrooms
At the same time, the wooden slats provide an exclusive and modern look that fits perfectly with Nordic interior design.
Tip: How many panels?
Cover approx. 20% of the wall area (or 30% of the floor area) for a noticeable improvement.
