Made-to-measure solid wood panels – bring your DIY dreams to life
Does your home need a refresh? Our made-to-measure solid wood panels are perfect if you want to build yourself – without hassle and without compromising on quality.
Whether you dream of a beautiful windowsill, a sturdy shelf or a top panel for your IKEA sideboard, you’ve found the right solution. (And yes, you can also use the panels for book boxes, shelving, headboards and much more – just saying).
The panels are constructed as glued laminated boards with finger-jointed staves. Each stave has a fixed width of 42 mm, and you’ll receive a piece of quality craftsmanship in European oak – known for its strength, grain and warm tone.
The solid wood panels feature beautifully sanded edges with a light chamfer, making them pleasant to touch and giving them a stylish finish. The robust material lasts for many years and adds a warm, natural atmosphere wherever it is used in your home.
Wood type: European oak.
Oak is a hard and heavy wood species with high durability and long lifespan. It has a distinctive grain and a light golden colour that darkens over time and develops a subtle greyish patina. Oak is highly suitable for table tops, shelves and furniture designed for everyday use.
Usage tips: What can you create with solid wood panels?
The possibilities are almost endless, but here’s some inspiration:
- Custom-made shelves in exactly the length and depth you need.
- Windowsills with charm – and warmth for the room.
- A sturdy top panel for your sideboard that makes all the difference in the living room.
- DIY headboards, benches, shelves, TV units, hallway shelves – you name it.
In short: you’ll receive a piece of solid wood that’s ready to become exactly what you dream of.
Note: The wood panels are not suitable for outdoor use.
Cleaning and maintenance
The wood panel should be surface treated upon delivery (e.g. with oil or varnish) to protect it from dirt, sunlight and wear. It’s quick to do and significantly extends the lifespan of the panel.
Cleaning is easy with a cloth and warm water. Be aware that soap-based cleaning agents gradually remove the oil in the wood and cause the panel to dry out. It’s therefore a good idea to maintain the panel regularly with oil if the surface is used frequently and cleaned often.
Solid wood can be sanded and refreshed again and again. Small dents or scratches? No problem – a light sanding and some oil, and the panel will look as good as new.
