Black Melamine Carcass Panel

Black melamine carcass board cut to your measurements – ready to use

At HM-wood-shop.co.uk, we offer practical and durable melamine-coated carcass boards in the colour Black Pearl, which we cut precisely to your desired measurements. The carcass board is made from chipboard coated with melamine on both sides, providing a surface that is easy to clean and highly resistant – ideal for furniture and fittings that must endure daily use.

The boards are melamine-coated on both sides, but not on the edges by default. Matching melamine edge banding on all four sides can be selected from the menu on the right.

What can melamine carcass boards be used for?

Carcass boards – also referred to as cabinet carcasses, cabinet panels, furniture boards or fitting boards – are used for building various storage solutions such as wardrobes, shelves, drawers, and cabinets in kitchens or offices. Melamine boards are a popular choice when you want a strong and consistent surface. Melamine is easy to maintain and requires no post-treatment, making it ideal for both professional carpentry and DIY projects.

The areas of use are the same as for traditional furniture and fitting boards – but with the added benefit of a wear-resistant and colourfast surface provided by melamine.

Cut to size – simple and precise

All melamine carcass boards are tailored to your exact measurements, so you receive a ready-cut solution that fits straight into your project. This saves time, reduces waste, and makes it easier to achieve a professional result – whether you're building new furniture or modifying existing pieces.

Quality and specifications

All melamine boards are cut using a circular saw.

The board is coated with melamine on both sides, but there is a front and a back. The back side may have slight fraying from the saw cut, but the front side will be clean and sharp. This is completely normal for saw-cut melamine boards and does not affect the board's function.

Carcass boards are delivered without edge banding as standard, but you can choose to have matching edge banding applied to all four sides, or add the final finish yourself.

Thicknesses
Melamine-coated carcass boards are available in various thicknesses – selectable from the menu on the right.

A practical and durable choice
Melamine carcass boards are a simple and cost-effective solution when you want a clean look combined with high durability. The surface is easy to clean, scratch-resistant for everyday use, and perfect for functional furniture – both at home and in commercial environments.
