Fenix BLOOM Laminate - Blu Shaba

FENIX BLOOM laminate sheet cut to your measurements - Perfect for Do-It-Yourself people!

The blue-green color Blu Shaba is inspired by the charm of chrysocolla stones from the Shaba region in Congo.

BLOOM is a more innovative and sustainable series of Fenix laminates, where the amount of phenol in the laminate's core has been reduced by 50% and replaced with the renewable and natural material lignin.

Furthermore, Fenix laminates are CO2 neutral.

Colour: Blu Shaba

Trendy, matt colour.

Silky soft to the touch.

Scratch resistant and highly durable.

Withstands daily wear and tear.

Resistant to fingerprints.

Approved for food contact.

Easy to clean.

Fenix laminate sheets are 0,7 mm thick and can be applied both vertically and horizontally on for instance a wooden board, a worktop, or a tabletop.

The laminate sheet is easy to saw or mill. We recommend that you use a regular wood cutting tool, for instance a circular saw.

Use a melamine sponge for daily the cleaning, and if the laminate becomes greasy, use a universal cleaner and a microfiber cloth.

Thermal healing of micro-scratches: Superficial micro-scratches can easily be removed from Fenix laminate by using an iron. Watch how > here.

How to apply Fenix laminate

When applying your Fenix laminate sheet onto for instance a wooden board, we recommend that you use the adhesive/glue called DanAtac Aqua Contact which is very easy to work with.

Apply the glue on the laminate sheet using a paint brush or something similar and then leave the sheet to dry for 30 minutes to an hour.

Place the sheet carefully onto the wooden board - make sure you place it very accurately, since it will not be possible to readjust the laminate sheet afterwards.

Then use a rubber roller or a veneer hammer to press the two surfaces together in order to secure full contact between the two surfaces.

Afterwards, give the adhesive time to dry completely. The adhesive cures almost immediately but obtains its full strength after a couple of days.
