Cleaning and maintenance
The panel must be surface treated upon delivery (e.g. with oil or varnish) to protect against dirt, sunlight, and wear. This is quick to do – and significantly prolongs the lifespan of the worktop.
Daily cleaning is easily done with a cloth and hot water. Please note that soap-based cleaning agents gradually remove the oil from the wood and thereby dry out the worktop. Therefore, it is also a good idea to maintain the worktop regularly with oil 2–4 times a year.
Solid wood can be sanded and refreshed again and again. Small damages or scratches? No problem – a light sanding and a bit of oil, and the panel looks like new. This makes solid wood worktops a smart choice for spaces where life and work happen.
